| America's "breast obsession" still seems to be in full swing, even after the couple of years we usually to give to any fad - whether it be a clothing fad, or accessories - there are also fads with body types, and body parts, if you will. A woman's breasts are no exception to the cyclical fads that occur, but the lust for bigger breasts, and pretty and shapely breasts seems to only be fueled further, even after about a 15 year cycle. Where are the days of the waifish model? Seems they are long gone now. Remember when Kate Moss, a flat chested, waifish girl was all the rage in body types? See, we tend to only remember the trends in a one dimensional way, but I lived through the late eighties and nineties, and while the waifish, skinny girl look was in, men still lusted after larger breasted women. So, this would tend to make me think that men and women are just genetically programmed to zero in on women's breasts, as both a sex object, and an object of natural beauty to be envied as well as respected as the hallmark of womanhood. But are there other reasons that breasts are so obsessed over in our culture? And why has this breast obsession seemed to transcend into other cultures which typically do not idolize curvy, busty women, like in Japan and China, where thin has always been in and the traditional look for Japanese and Chinese women has been fairly flat chested, and respectably thin. Well, first off, there is the trend of bigger breasts turning up on our adolescent women everywhere, thanks to breast implant availability as well as diet advances and changes and other factors such as changing hormone patterns in our youth. The disadvantages of breast implants can be somewhat numerous, especially if your body rejects the implants, but that doesn't stop thousands of women from getting them in pursuit of the perfect bustline. It's called evolution! And women's breasts seem to be evolving to bigger lengths than ever, to the puzzlement of many scientists. On a more primal, instinctual level, breasts serve as a meaning of fertility and womanhood, and significant change and development in the female body that signifies her ability to mother and nurture a child, which also most definitely plays in the more "subliminal" and instinctual attraction that human males have toward a woman's breast. That's right, while the breast obsession is primarily a product of media and pop culture obsession, it is simply something that morphed from a basic instinct in the human male and female, an idolization that started since the dawn of man. Why do you think so many women want to know how to make your boobs bigger? It's a no brainer, after all the pressure we see, and what we now see is a larger natural affinity for bigger boobs. |
